GREETINGS FROM THE CURRENT PRESIDENT

Welcome Home to the Roundtable for Food Professionals 2007
Kick off your shoes, relax and stick around

This year is our fourth year as Roundtable for Food Professionals and with overwhelming responses we have exceeded all of our expectations of continued enthusiasm to keep the momentum running into the next decade for Roundtable.

The Roundtable for Food Professionals offers terrific Networking and Educational opportunities along with our Mentoring programs that not only benefit the younger students, also the grown up go getters of today. (all of us) Frankly, we all continue to learn and prosper from the mentors of our times, which are our friends, colleagues and networking groups.Additionally our web site will offer event updates, advertising, student chapter events, member incentives and activities so keep yourself informed through www.rfporg.org. We are a non profit organization benefiting the Foodservice Industry.

With all the innovations since the new Millennium our industry has really flourished, despite the events of terrorism the Foodservice Industry has maintained its place of importance and prevailed over much adversity. I for one had been affected by the events, yet because of my relationships and networking thru RFP, I made it through with a lot of my Industry friends by my side they did what they could to keep the ball rolling I was and am very grateful and I will never forget the generosity so many of my friends showed through their support and caring.

With all things considered your friends, networking and family are your best allies by far, loyalty is precious and I for one cherish all my relationships and special friends I have at Roundtable!

With so much admiration and fondness for RFP I have accepted the esteemed roll of President for 2005-2007 humbly and graciously.
My plan with the help of the new Board and members is to excel our fine group into a roll of distinction and glory for Foodservice colleagues to admire.

All the best
Barbra Colucci
President
Roundtable for Food Professionals
2005-2007

What is RFP?
RFP is the Roundtable for Food Professionals. We are a non-profit 501(c) 3 State of California Organization.

Who's invited?
Anyone who is or wants to be involved in the food industry on any level is invited.

What is the criteria for membership?
The desire to get together on a regular basis with other people in our industry is the only requirement for membership (along with monthly meeting fees and annual dues)!

Who are our members?
We have Owners, Managers, Food Safety Experts, Executive Chefs, Purchasing Agents, National Account Managers, Franchise and Product Development Consultants. We have Food Brokers, Manufacturers and Manufacturers' Representatives. We have Teachers and Professors from local schools and Colleges. We also have Market Research, Insurance, Accounting and Investment Professionals who specialize in helping and serving people in the food industry.

What are we about?
We are about networking. We are about getting together once a month to talk about what's going on the industry, to learn new things, and to keep up with each other in order to build our own contact networks. We are about supporting Culinary, Food Service and Dietetics programs at the High School, Trade School, Junior College and University levels by giving scholarships to deserving students and making ourselves available to students for discussions, events and programs at the schools.
Mentoring is a huge part of what we as Professionals want to contribute our time too.
